Hallowe'en!

Hallowe'en is pretty much my favourite holiday. This is the first year I'm not going Trick-or-Treating (yes I'm aware that I'm 19, what's your point?), so I'm going to a costumes-mandatory party. I'm going to be a vampire. After spending the first half of the month reading Dracula, there was pretty much no other option. Tonight I had some time to kill so I tried to figure out how I'm doing my makeup tomorrow. It's gonna look something like this:

...only better. My favourite part:

I'm using fake skin to make 3D bite holes... Ahahaha I love it.

I'm kind of sad that I'm not Trick-or-Treating... these last 4 years or so I've given my candy to charity, because we all know underprivileged children need nutrition-free food. Hopefully other people will donate some candy so those kiddies get their tooth-rotting goodness! Other than that, I don't think I'll miss T-o-Ting, running around in the snow, getting dirty looks from old people because you're 18 and begging for candy... not that fun... Plus this is the first time Hallowe'en's been on a Friday since I can remember, I can't pass up the opportunity to party!

Do They Make Pills for This?

I went to the gym twice today. Yes I did. I must be insane. As a result, I'm quite worn out and want nothing more than to curl up in my nice warm bed and sleep in until 7 a.m... but the insomnia monkey on my back isn't having any of that.
I'm super excited for Hallowe'en on Friday. I'm going to a costumes-mandatory party, and after spending the first half of October reading Dracula, I pretty much had to be a vampire. So I got a bitchin' vampire costume. I'm pretty excited. I just really love dressing up and wearing crazy makeup, it's so fun. Last year I had two separate Hallowe'en costumes (a mime and a ghoul) because I had two different pre-Hallowe'en parties, and it was awesome. I don't think I'll ever not dress up for Hallowe'en. Ahhh.
Okay, enough overtired ramblings for now. Goodnight.

Looking for a Job

My seasonal job is finished for the year, so I'm looking for a new one. I've been pretty much just applying online nonstop today. I'm determined to have a new job by the weekend. I'm a little bit in debt so life will be quite difficult until I get a job. I should also finish editing all my footage from earlier this month. And I've got two essays due next month and a test tomorrow. Cripes, when did I get so busy? I'd better stop blogging and get to bed. Goodnight!

Wonderful Weekend

What a lovely weekend I've had. It's been the perfect mix of busy and relaxing.
Friday I received the package I had been waiting for. I had bought some clothes as a birthday present to myself from ModCloth.com, which as we all know is my favourite website for clothes.... except this time, I got nailed with $80 owing for duty. Piiissed. But I paid it anyway, and I got my delightful new clothes!
Saturday night was wonderful, after a pretty lame last-shift-of-the-year-and-perhaps-maybe-forever-we'll-see at work. Some of my friends who had forgotten my birthday last week took me to The Clay Oven for a fantastic dinner, and a quick browse through a bookstore which resulted in my buying Paper Towns by John Green, and his collaboration with Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle, Let It Snow. The best part: both of my new books had Nerdfighter notes stuffed in them!! I actually squealed and danced around in the bookstore. If you don't know what I'm talking about, check out the vlogbrothers on YouTube, you won't regret it. After dinner, my friends and I had a small Rockband party, which is a fairly standard end to our weekend nights.
As soon as I got home, I cracked open Paper Towns and read until I had drifted off to sleep without realising it. I woke up this morning to find the book on the floor next to my bed. I immediately picked it up and continued reading. I love when books are that good.
With a ~3 hour pause for showering and running some errands, I finished the book by 5, then did a little studying. I wanted to read Let It Snow but I think I'll save that for plane-reading closer to the holidays... if I can hold off that long.
I've only just realised how much I've neglected my computer this weekend, so it appears I've got some e-mails to return, some RSS feeds to catch up on, and some YouTube videos to watch! Although I do want to be up at 6 tomorrow, so I think I'll do all that tomorrow and I'll go to sleep now instead.
Night! <3

Positively Un-Productive

Tonight, instead of editing all my footage that I've got, I made a new video that I won't post. Oy vey. I need to sort out my priorities :P I think I'm just too disappointed to be productive. I've been expecting a couple of packages for a few days now and they haven't gotten here.  >_<.

So I'm a little worried, my job is seasonal, and the season ends with October. My last two shifts are Saturday and Sunday, then I don't have a job. Which will simply not do, because I'm going away on two trips this winter & spring, (more about those in the future) and I simply don't have enough money for both!! (Luckily I haven't spent any money in quite a while, it's funny how little you have to spend when you only leave your house to go to school and work >.<

I'm gonna try to get some editing done before I go to sleep, wish me luck!

Pushing Daisies

Who else loves this show?

Every Wednesday my friends and I get together and watch it. In fact, I have to leave in about two minutes. I love it! Then I get to come home and edit footage some more(!!), also love it! And my tonsils are feeling much better today! I've only talked like 3 times and have been sucking back lozenges like nobody's business, here's hoping my health regimen is working!

Last night, as I was going to bed (essay finished, might I add :D) I noticed my throat was starting to hurt. I usually get a mild bout of tonsillitis this time of year, and sure enough, they're flaring up with a vengeance this year. I'll attach a gross tonsil pic if I can figure out how, I know you all are dying to see my nasty swollen tonsils... Anyway, I've got to go to the doctor in about 15 minutes, get some antibiotics and whatnot... man I just wish I could get them taken out! Once I get back from the doc, I plan to make a short video to tell my subbies about this blog thing I'm doing, because, after all, if a blogger blogs in the forest and there's no one there to read it, did she make a point? Or something like that...
Okay, last warning, it's time for the picture of my throat... and rest of face....

Anyway, I'm off to the doc, hopefully I'll see you all later... or you all will see me later... or whatever.

Monday, October 20

This Dracula essay is consuming my life! I'm done with all my reading and whatnot, and I've only got about a hundred words left to write--if only I knew what they should be! Anyway, once this is done, I've got some chores to catch up on, some friends to catch up with (which can all really be taken care of tomorrow) and then I'll be editing the four videos worth of footage I have burning a hole (not literally :P) in my camcorder! That means I should have some new videos soon, I'm thinking I'll post one a week, that should appease you vid-thirsty fiends! Haha I'm only kidding, I love my subscribers! You guys keep me motivated to actually complete this horrid list of mine! <3!

...I love how I'm writing this as though people actually read it... I suppose I should tell my subs I'm blogging now...

So I Suppose I Should Christen This New Blog

I'm not entirely sure why I'm starting this blog. I guess if people want to keep updated on what I'm doing if I'm not uploading videos (which I don't seem to do very often) they can check this out.
Anyway, this weekend has been devoted to Mr. Bram Stoker and his masterpiece Dracula. I've got to write an essay on it, which is due on Tuesday. Haven't even started writing yet. And for some reason I'm blogging instead of writing and/or reading. I'm certainly the queen of procrastination. Well, I'd better get back to the book, I'll be blogging again when I've got something to say!
